Linden House Theatre Company staged a very well-critiqued play at Elmwood School. On the evening of October 24th, Laurentian Chapter enjoyed a pre-show reception and benefit night, and later enjoyed the performance of George Bernard Shaw's play "You Never Can Tell". The following photographs showcase the delicious and sumptuous buffet provided by IODE members, and highlight some of the hard workers present that night.

IODE Laurentian Chapter was part of the Great New Edinburgh Garage Sale on Saturday, September 15. Although there were a few rain showers in the afternoon, the event went off very well. Treasures exchanged hands at a great rate, and the cafe supplied many visitors with coffee, tea and goodies throughout the day. We earned around $4000 for our various charities, such as homes for abused women (Chrysalis House and Interval House).
Bake Table Ladies
We never get in a jam when it comes to our garage sale but we certainly sell a lot of it at our bake table with the help of (from left) Anne, Deborah, (behind Anne) Rowena (facing customer) and Pennie
Jeanette and Co.
It takes real IODE treasures like (from left) Jeannette, Muriel and Beryl to sell all the great donated stuff.
Joan and Co. at Cafe
(from left) Busy, Joan and Charlene make sure that people tired from touring New Edinburgh get a great snack and a hot cup of coffee.

Customers buying treasures
Months of planning days of pricing leads to lots of happy customers helping us raise money for many great causes.

Housewares, art and knick knacks. Just some of the great items Valerie sold at our garage sale.
Helpful husband Pierre
We may be a women's service club but husbands like Pierre come in very handy on garage sale day.
